This year members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Bangkok Declaration and commemorate the founding of the association. The regional grouping’s signature achievement is that it has created an environment of regional security and growing mutual confidence among member states, which has promoted economic growth and internal stability. It has also facilitated regional relationships with the major powers, as well as international and regional organizations.

ASEAN offers much potential in the future global economy, considering the multitude of shifts in the current economic and political backdrop, including Brexit and the commencement of the Trump administration.

Understanding the important role of ASEAN for business cooperation in its country members, Dentons HPRP is collaborating with RHTLaw Taylor Wessing, a prominent law firm in Singapore, to arrange the ASEAN Summit 2017 with title The Future Economy in the ASEAN Narrative: Gearing Your Business for the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).

Supported by various organizations and featuring distinguished experts from various backgrounds, the one day seminar will discuss how enterprises can seize regional opportunities, and also address the various dynamics and capabilities that can be honed to capitalize on the ASEAN platform, for business growth, and the potential to propel one’s business into the future regional and global arena.
