The government of Indonesia has committed to boost infrastructure development to promote economic growth. This effort requires the involvement of private entities. In addition to financing issues, private involvement is also needed to address other issues, such as service expansion, quality improvement, and service efficiency. The question is, are the private entities, which are mostly business and profit oriented, interested in getting involved in these projects? How to attract private sectors to be involved in infrastructure development projects?
To provide further insights on infrastructure development projects in Indonesia, Hanafiah Ponggawa & Partners (“Dentons HPRP”)’s partners invited journalists to a small-group discussion in Jakarta (7/12). Dentons HPRP’s partners Andre Rahadian, Fabian Buddy Pascoal, and Erwin Kurnia Winenda shared with the journalists their experience and expertise in assisting clients in infrastructure projects. The media discussion explored the various aspects of infrastructure development, including financing, regulations, challenges that may arise, and investment opportunities. Those topics led the attendees to get actively involved in the discussion.
The discussion was covered in national media, Bisnis Indonesia and Kontan.
