Dentons HPRP’s partner Hendra Ong participated in a seminar on the “The Belt and Road” Outbound Investment Legal Affairs organized by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Zhejiang Provincial Committee, Meritas Law Firms Worldwide and Senior Legal Affair Management. The seminar also invited senior experts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of P.R. China, well-known central enterprises and large financial institutions to share the legal affairs of outbound investment from all angles.

In his session, Hendra shared with the audience his experience in assisting clients expanding their businesses and investments in Indonesia. He shared details of how to find opportunities for mergers and investments and how to effectively manage investment projects and analyzed the main legal risks in Indonesia. The interesting discussion attracted an audience from various backgrounds.

In earlier sessions, distinguished experts from various institutions and jurisdictions, Counselor of International Economy Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, General Counsel of China Merchants Group Co. Ltd., Deputy General Counsel of China Nonferrous Metals Mining (Group) Co., Ltd., Partner of HHP Attorneys-At-Law, Meritas member firms from Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Philippines, and Managing Director of Oversea Investment Business Division, Ping’An Trust, also gave presentations.

Held in Zhejiang Hangzhou on June 30, 2017, the event was attended by more than 160 representatives of numerous Chinese leading companies.
