Dentons HPRP team spoke in a talk session on the “Procedures and Requirements for Trademark Registration under Regulation of the Minister of Justice and Human Rights No.67 of 2016” organized by Hukum Online, a credible site for news, information, and database related to laws and regulations in Indonesia. The event was held in Jakarta on July 25, 2017.
Led by IP and Litigation partner Linna Simamora the team shared with the audience their expertise in Marks registration and its related matters. Winda Tania, an associate lawyer and Leonardo Richo Sidabutar an associate lawyer specialing in litigation joined Linna as speakers. Addressing the new regulations and laws on trademark registration, the team discussed how to settle disputes, settlement options, legal proceedings, and the legal consequences of a cancellation decision based on sample cases. The discussion attracted an interested audience from various backgrounds with interesting questions.
In an earlier session, a distinguished expert from the regulatory authority, Jurnalis Chan S.H., M.E., from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, also gave a presentation related to the arrangement of marks registration under the new regulations.
