Dentons HPRP congratulates one of its Fintech clients, Modalku, a startup peer-to-peer lending (P2P) company, on the company having now been officially registered with the Indonesian Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan or “OJK”). In this formal process, Dentons HPRP provided assistance to the company in preparing the requirements and necessary documents for the filing to OJK.
Earlier, Dentons HPRP acted for Modalku, as the legal counsel for its single round of Series A funding transactions from Sequoia, one of the leading fintech investors based in India. Led by partner Erwin Kurnia Winenda and assisted by senior associate Dinda Karina, this transaction was the largest single round of funding for a Southeast Asian peer-to-peer lender to date, according to an article published in Business Times, Singapore.
