Dentons HPRP’s Partner, Fabian Buddy Pascoal, attended and addressed the Belt & Road Service Connections 2019 Summit on 25 April 2019 in Beijing, China. The summit was attended by around 100 persons from China, U.K., Austria, Russia, Italy, Brazil, Ecuador, India, Singapore, Malaysia, and Vietnam. On this occasion, Fabian also attended the China and Indonesia Business Forum of the Global Maritime Fulcrum – Belt & Road Initiative, held by the Indonesian Cordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs and the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing.
The events were held in relation to the 2nd Belt & Road Forum for International Cooperation initiated by the government of the People’s Republic of China.
The latter event was attended by the Indonesian Vice President, Indonesian cabinet members, senior officials of the Chinese government, and the Chinese and Indonesian business community. A number of MOU were signed between big Chinese and Indonesian companies related to Chinese investments in Indonesia under the Belt & Road’s framework, including infrastructure projects.
