In celebration of its 32nd anniversary, Dentons HPRP convened a virtual seminar titled Dentons HPRP Law and Regulations Outlook 2022: Recovery in Business and Investment which highlighted Indonesia's investment recovery and 2022 national strategic projects (16 Feb 2022).
In his opening remarks, Sartono, Managing Partner of Dentons HPRP, stated that, "Dentons HPRP underscores the importance of public discussion that further delved into investment recovery strategies and 2022 national strategic projects. The discussion reviewed current issues surrounding the topics, identified challenges and obstacles, provided certainties to the business sector to adjust their course of actions, thus allowing synergy with the Government's policy direction."
Al Hakim Hanafiah, one of the Founding Partners of Dentons HPRP added in his remarks, "In the 32 years of our operation in the Indonesian legal services, we have experienced quite a number of changes to the country’s legal landscape and we view these changes to be significant, especially in key aspects, such as investment and ease of doing business."
The seminar featured Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto as the Keynote Speaker. Discussions were held in two panel sessions, the first scrutinizing Indonesia's Business and Investment Recovery, with the second panel touching upon the National Strategic Projects. The panels of speakers include Deputy of Investment Cooperation of the Investment Coordinating Board, BKPM, Riyanto, the 3rd Deputy Chairwoman for Maritime, Investment and International Relations Affairs of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) Shinta Kamdani, Managing Director of Investment, Indonesia Investment Authority (INA), Andry Setiawan, Economist of the University of Indonesia, Telisa Falianty, and speakers from Dentons HPRP, Erwin Kurnia Winenda and Giovanni Mofsol Muhammad. Nashatra Prita and Winda Tania from Dentons HPRP moderated each of the panel sessions.
"We hope that this seminar could be our contribution towards the Indonesian public in accelerating synchronous and harmonious cooperation as well as coordination between regulators and businesses, which would ultimately create a conducive business climate in accordance to prevailing regulations," Sartono closed his remarks.
The event was virtually attended through an online platform by several invited guests from various chambers of commerce, international business associations, national business and industry associations, embassies and representatives of foreign countries, national and international media, as well as clients of Dentons HPRP.
