Dentons HPRP has successfully assisted PT Amazon Data Services Indonesia, a subsidiary of Amazon Web Services (“AWS”), in a New and Renewable Energy Electricity Supply Agreement with PT PLN (Persero) (“PLN”). In this first new and renewable energy project and the biggest solar power plant project that has ever been introduced by PLN, Amazon has committed to buying 210 MW of electricity from 4 (four) solar power plant projects to electrify its local operations.

In this notable deal, a Dentons HPRP team led by Maurice Maulana Situmorang (Partner), supported by associate lawyers Praniti Putri Mirza and Aletheia Christy Hutabarat, provided extensive legal assistance to AWS related to the green tariff and brown tariff arrangement with the degree of prudence, diligence, and foresight which are highly expected in this huge, complex transaction, including assistance in the signing process for this remarkable transaction.

Dentons HPRP has been providing legal assistance to PT Amazon Data Services Indonesia since the establishment of its data storage service provider in Indonesia as part of Amazon’s global expansion.
