The amount of aviation work has increased significantly over the year. Further, the team’s diverse work has also spanned a wide range, from financing, repossession, company asset transfers, sale purchase and leasing, suspensions of payments, to disputes.

During the past 12 months alone, the team assisted with more than 10 cases of restructuring of airlines. Most of the cases are related to the settlement of an Indonesian Airline (state-owned company)’s debt, followed by aircraft repossessions. The most significant case was when the team assisted Aercap, the world's largest aircraft lessor company in the aviation industry, on the lease restructuring and redelivery of 12 Boeing 737-800 aircraft.  The team also assisted with several disputes in the District Courts between financiers and lessors on one side and airlines on the other.

In the previous year, the team accompanied PT Express Cargo Airlines, a newly established Indonesian cargo airline, in welcoming the company’s first aircraft. This is an important milestone for the company, as the purchase of this aircraft is the company’s first step in expanding its business, with an intention of having five aircraft.

Recently, the Dentons HPRP’s aviation team successfully assisted Aercap, the world's largest aircraft lessor company in the aviation industry, in an aircraft lease transaction with PT Rusky Aero Indonesia (Raindo United Services), the first start-up cargo airline in Indonesia.
