Dentons HPRP, a leading law firm in Indonesia, successfully assisted PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) in signing a contract agreement for CP205 Phase 2A with Sojitz Corporation. The contract focused on the design and construction of a railway system and tracks, marks a significant step in the development of the Jakarta MRT.

The contract signing ceremony, held at Bundaran HI Station in Central Jakarta on 17 April 2024, was attended by high-profile officials, including Indonesia's Minister of Transportation, the Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia, the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, and the CEO of PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda).

With a contract period of 75 months, extending to the end of 2029, CP205 Phase 2A encompasses various components, including substations, power distribution systems, overhead contact systems, signalling, telecommunications, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), tracks, and platform screen doors. The contract, valued at Rp4.2 trillion, is expected to support the operation of the Jakarta MRT between Bundaran HI and Kota, contributing to the expansion of Indonesia's transportation infrastructure.

As legal representatives, Dentons HPRP played a crucial role in ensuring the legality and enforceability of the agreement between PT MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) and Sojitz Corporation.
