In early January 2024, the Indonesian Government enacted a new regulation concerning Electronic Information and Transactions. Since the issuance of the former law in 2008, there have been several technological advances that need to be regulated by the government to maintain a clean, ethical, productive, and just digital space in Indonesia. The newly enacted regulation is aimed at addressing these developments.
